EC provided support for program development to SHOILEE’s capacity-building activities to promote their seaside jewelry-making project. UNDP Bangladesh and the UTTARAN took up this unique program to reinvigorate the traditional jewelry-making industry in Cox’s Bazar.

About 24 economically insolvent women entrepreneurs from Cox’s Bazar received extensive training to upgrade their skills in the jewelry-making business over a period of two months in December- January 2022. This program created a major impact in boosting the business environment as well as the morale of the women entrepreneurs.
