Al-Mamun Khan is a finance executive specializing in strategic planning, budgeting, people, and construction administration for higher education institutions. Currently working as the director of finance and administration at the Office of Capital Planning at Weill Medical College of Cornell University.

Al-Mamun leads Capital Planning finance as well as campus-wide design and construction financial activities. He oversees bidding, contract negotiation, award, and contract execution for capital projects. He is in charge of managing the departmental budget, capital budgets & funding as well as developing and maintaining policies and procedures for Capital Planning.

Al-Mamun is a member of Weill Cornell Dean’s Finance Advisory Council which allocates funding and monitors Strategic Plan progress. In the past 2 decades he was involved in two strategic plans: Advancing the Clinical Mission, a $750 million clinical plan, and Discoveries That Make a Difference, a $1.3 billion research, and discovery plan. Al-Mamun is currently working on We Are Changing Medicine, a $1.5 billion multidisciplinary campaign for the Medical College.

Al-Mamun holds a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from Columbia University. He is a member of the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) and the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA).
