Collaborating with the Work, Employment, Regulation, and Governance Research Group (WERRG) of Central Queensland University (CQU), we conducted a feasibility study and offered program development support for their energy sector capacity-building project in partnership with the Power Management Institute of the Ministry of Energy, Power, and Mineral Resources in Bangladesh. As part of this initiative, 14 officials from Bangladesh power sector utilities underwent a comprehensive two-week training program in Australia, and a national-level symposium was subsequently organized in Dhaka on November 29, 2023. This CQU-initiated and Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) of Australia-financed project has created a huge interest in the Bangladesh power sector.
